After working for a few weeks in town, i realised that there are much pros and cons working in different areas.. for this entry, im comparing myself currently working in Raffles vs working in TLA.
Pros:
- Travel time by train seems faster than travelling on buses, especially during traffic jams, travel time differs drastically. Train usually will be quite on time, unless occasional break downs.
- Usually starts work at 8.30, 8.45 or 9am. Perfect timing for people who doesn't wake up before the sun rises.. TLA starts work at 8am. Super early!
- Wide variety of food choices, wouldn't get sick of eating lunch that easily.. wat do we eat in TLA? Malay rice, over the bridge's canteen or Jurong Point food! So boring!
Cons:
- Overcrowding train and feeder buses. I felt so irritated with people stepping into my comfort zone. leaning their back against mine, putting their arms across my forehead.. Smelly people, or people with genuine motive of molesting... disgust.
- Very small office. everyone is able to hear my typing sound..
- Friends. The friendship that was made in TLA is definitely uncomparable, best friendship! Miss all of u back there!
- Can't drink my favourite bubble tea.. I dont find bubble tea in town de leh..
I guess every choice that we made, has opportunity costs.. more or less, we get the good and the bad..
I had a weird dream last night................
I actually gave birth to a baby! (Without going thru the pregnancy period)
does anyone knows how to decipher that dream? what does it mean?
haha. but anyway, i didnt get to see my baby's face. even after 1 mth. Think my mother gave him/her away. lol.
Celebrated with him on Sunday, actually wanted to eat @ some Dim Sum place in Plaza Sing, by the name of Lao Beijing, but we didn't coz it was crowded and needed reservations. Wonder if its so good? Will go try next time.
We ate @ Manhattan Fish Market instead. He was happy! It was his first time there. We ordered the seafood platter for two. Personally its not my favourite la. I eat everything EXCEPT the fish. lol. Seriously, i hate eating dory fillet.
On Monday, its his actual 23rd bday. He still got to go work.. haha.. no birthday off for him!
i didnt get him a cake. but i got him 2 presents to cover for the cake! Wonder wat i bought? Crumpler Bag and Braun Buffel Wallet.. He's so happy to receive it!
Went out to eat with him and his parents. we ate @ Harbour City Restaurant.
So-so only la. haha. but well, everybody's happy, and his mum seems to be very satisfied with the varieties they offer. ordered a fair bit of food.. and our stomachs are filled to the brim! =)
To Boyfriend: Did you have a wonderful birthday this year? I know u definitely did! coz i was there! =p

Met up with Joseph yesterday after probably 1 year after we last met. LOL.
We were such good friends while fulfilling our internship.
Anyway, he suggested that we should eat something classy as we had not met for so long, so he brought me to My Humble House at the Esplanade.
I'd say, i know this place exist. but i never thought of stepping in before.
Love the ambience. very beautiful, classy..
Still got candle somemore. Candlelight dinner.. very romantic huh.
I think our conversation goes like this....
Me:"how long does it take for the candle to stop burning?"
Joe: "1 year ba."
Me: "Wha! can i take the candle home? Then i can eat romantic dinner everyday!"
Joe: "My dear, if you have candlelight dinner everyday, it wun be romantic anymore la.."
The Menu. i really like it. The dishes featured inside, all i cannot understand because they had really fanciful names. I could only remember wat i ate, not the names of the food.

Foie Gras
First experience with it. it taste alright.. kinda bitter but its good. haha!
Peking Duck
I especially like sauce. really really compliments the whole serving. Totally forgotten about taking photo coz we eat half way then i realised..
Scallops in floss
This is a heavenly.. its 4X juicy big scallops!
Green Tofu with crab meat and green peas
Very very good.. i really could taste the crab meat lor.. the tofu is very smooth.
Peking Duck Meat
The remains of the Peking Duck. lol. I guess they had charged us double for the skin as well as the meat.. =(
Green Tea Seafood Fried Rice
Very tasty in fact, thou it looks a bit like mui fan. =p I really like this. but i was too full to finish.
It was lucky that we didn't order desserts.. can't finish it if we did!
Total bill came up to $200+++. Shock of my life. Joe treated me to this. Kinda paiseh coz all the meetings with him, i nv came up with a single cent.

Hello everyone! I have 2 new pets just last weekend.
They are Chinchillas! Not rabbits, neither squirrels nor rats. haha.
I adopted them, and Christopher gave them to me.
These two Chins were rather kelian. because they were in really bad condition when chris went to bring them home. He tried to bathe them, but they still smell. Probably because they didn't bathe for more than a year ba? The previous owner claimed that he didn't had time to take care of them, so he gave them up for adoption.
So the very next day, i went over to collect the grey colour chin.
brought it for grooming, and tadah! it didnt smell and is beautiful all over again! except a bit botak. coz the groomer had to pluck out its dirty fur.. well, it will grow back in a few mths de!
bought alot of things for it. all brand new. and everything cost me 200over bucks.
Saturday night seems like a lonely night for the grey chin. it was like, hiding 1 corner, and didn't seem willing to come out and play. it struggled alot.
We decided to take another chin from chris, and he agreed!
He gave us the white/beige/cream colour chin and the grey chin was active again!
the grey chin even climb up to pat's shoulder and play with him. so cute la!
They had companion liao. the White colour is a female chin, the grey one, is a male chin.
After a long long period of discussion, dear boyfriend and i finally came up with names for the chins. They are now named Snow-ball and Ash-ball.. =)
They are now staying at bf's house. seems like his family also like them very much.
*Only his sister's cat seems to be quite jealous. lol.

lets hope that we can work towards being fantastic owners of them.. and also, i do hope that they will reproduce a family of young chinchillas! =D
We had dinner @ Baystreet 21 on Thursday. It was supposed to be my ex-department youngsters meeting, ended up we had dinner as a girl's outing instead.
